3D print with Multi-color

Many existing 3D printing technologies have drawback that allows only one color to get print at a time, which limiting many prospective applications from integration of different color in same 3D model. Muti-colored 3d printing technology resolve this issue by allowing 3D model of complex and multi colored to be manufactured in single printer.

There are several possible ways to print multi- colored 3D model with extruder (Nozzle)

1. Dual feeder with Dual extruder

Some desktop 3D printers have two nozzles that can help with filament of different colors. Once the printer is printing and needs to change the color, it simply switches the nozzle to fulfill its purpose.

2. Dual feeder with Single extruder

You can also 3D print with multiple colors on a single nozzle which incorporates dual feeding system. The process is achieved by retracting and feeding alternative colors. Some software use prime tower to switch the color accurately.

3. Single Feeder and single extruder

This process is quite complex and time consuming where you need to switch filament while printing, cut parts into additional pieces, play with inlay settings, G-Code files editing (needs programming skills), assembling and many more.
